Adult Tai Chi for Beginners

Relieve Stress & Tension, Improve Circulation of Blood, Oxygen & Chi, Increase Energy Levels, Improve Coordination, Balance & Flexibility, Improve Strength & Mobility in Joints, Bones & Tendons, Increase Focus, Concentration & Awareness. Exercises can be performed sitting or standing

Gentle Yoga

This gentle yoga class will explore some of the foundations of yoga practice. Breathing, posture, poses and relaxation techniques will be introduced. Classes taught by Marion Blasch, Certified Yoga Fit Instructor.

If you want to try this great class, you can come in as a “drop in”.

Line Dance for Adults

Everyone can line dance and NO PARTNER is required.  The class is for the beginner to advanced participants.  Every musical genre will be used - it's not just country music anymore.  We can dance to our favorite music!

Athletic Yoga (ADULT)

This class will focus on buildingstronger muscles, increasing range of motion, improve posture, balance and coordination. It will also increase mobility, stabilty and flexibilty. You will develop a greater mind-body connection.. Classes taught by Linda Henry, she is an avid athlete who has done triathlons and is nurse scientist certified in Fluid Yoga(200CRT) and has taken another 100 hours of training in yoga alignment and assistance.

Yoga for Athletes (ADULT)

This class will focus on developing the upper body and core strength to improve endurance and performance, increase lower-body flexibility to help prevent injury and build the mind-body connection. Classes taught by Brauna Carl, AFAA and YogaFit Certified.

Self Defense for Teens & Adults (Ages 13 & up)

Student will learn about combat, self defense, health & physical fitness.  The techniques and skills taught were developed by Russain Special Forces & based on ancient Russian martial arts.

FHIIT for Athletes

A cardio intensive class, incorporating plyometrics, strength and body weight training. A class designed to improve movement, endurance and overall fitness for sports.

Andrea is an AFFA Certified Personal Trainer and an ASFA Certified Senior Fitness Trainer. She has been playing tennis for 10 years and is excited to be combining her two passions of fitness and tennis into one class.

Kid Fit 4 Fun

A 45 minute fun class for children ages 2-5 years. They will learn basic exercise, balance coordination and team work. The class is taught by Colleen Peacher.

Axial Dance, taught by Laura Q & Laura W

KIDS AGES 3-11 YEARS…DON’T MISS THIS! A new dance program for YOU! Don’t pay those high Studio prices when you can train with the talented Laura Wren! She will give you great instruction and individual attention.  A monthly program, fees are due at the beginning of each month.

About Miss Laura Wren:

Laura has been dancing since she was just 2 years! She has danced in various performances, including the Nutcracker, and the US Army’s Downrange shows. She has been teaching for over 7 years, and loves every second of it!

About Miss Laura Quintero:

Laura Q. has been dancing for 20 years in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, pom, hip-hop and ad bhangra. She is also founder, captain and choreographer of a Latin dance performance team during her 4 years at JMU. Laura Q loves to dance and share her passion for movement with others.
